Couver was from the highly celebrated Burydown Salukis “V” litter, whose mum was a BIS-winning smooth bitch. Imported from Canada, he settled in wonderfully at Fleetwind.
He immediately proved his worth in the ring, winning several Hound Puppy Groups and Best Puppy in Show. Couver sired several outstanding litters, bringing valuable qualities in our line.
Although he didn’t enjoy showing very much, he rediscovered the activity in his senior years and went on to become the country’s All-breeds Veteran of the Year in 2009, after winning no less than 7 Best Veteran in show awards. He is sadly missed by all who loved him, but his legacy is well treasured.
